Me and some friends are 20-30 handicaps. We don't use the handicap field to calculate the round. We just play 3 over Par max per hole. If we play a par 5 then snowman is the max. It also helps with game speed, for example if someone has a meltdown, one of us might not even hole out at that point to keep pace of play going. I think in the future, capping out at snowman for all holes would be more fun since I like to draw the snowman. How do the casual weekend golfers here keep score? Do you have a cap on strokes? Do you use the handicap?
