This morning I played at David L Baker in Orange County and I learned that it was an executive course which means no par 5s.
I’m fairly new to golf still only been taking it seriously for about 6 months now. Course par is 62 I shot an 85 best round of my life so far and for sure it felt good but does playing an executive make it less of a challenge in some ways? Most of the par 3s were really short one was even 80 yards to the center. I know it’s not that serious since we’re not pros but I just wanted to see how people felt about executive courses.
Being new to the game I actually really enjoyed the small challenges of 200 yard par 3s and short par 3s I felt like that was good practice for short game and it’s pretty rewarding landing on the green on any par 3!
