Short game area etiquette? (Groundskeepers please give your takes)
Post Body

A place I practice at has a specific designated short game area (separate from the putting green and has bunkers, etc). It is quite large and has grass that stretches up to 50 yards, especially if you go to one end of it and hit to the furthest pin from you. Lately I’ve been trying to work on these longer pitch shots and technically could do so when there’s nobody around, but at this distance is when I start to take some noticeable divots and leave pitch marks. I also try to fix the pitch marks to the best of my efforts but the divots are still gunna be there. Wondering if it would be bad etiquette to actually hit these fuller pitch shots / do courses generally prepare for these?
