I purchased a new Cobra LTDx driver recently to replace my older Cobra Max driver, which I hit pretty well. I have never been fitted and have always played stock clubs. The LTDx came with a stiff flex Project X Hzrdus Smoke iM10 shaft. The new driver feels great in my hands and looks very similar at address to my Max driver. The problem is that when I strike the ball I get a very low trajectory and it feels like I'm hitting a marshmallow. Distance is WEAK compared to my Max driver. Is the solution to this to get fitted for a new shaft? The stock shaft has adjustable lofts (I've tried higher loft with no success), does that limit my shaft options? Again, I've never been fitted so I'm clueless how this works or if that will solve my problem? Last round I hit 1 ball off the tee with each driver and my old Cobra Max won easily. Any advice would be appreciated! For reference I'm 54 years old and generally shoot in the low 80's.
