Am I hurting myself at all by learning and playing with youth clubs instead of buying a “real” set?

I’m 30. 🙈🤣

For context, I’m 4’10”. Started playing casually about a year and a half ago after a trip to Top Golf got me hooked.

I originally bought this set of youth Rory clubs, because I was still within the recommended height range and they were much less expensive than a full set (and the dog head cover was kind of cute lol).

But I’m wanting to get pretty serious about improving, and am taking lessons this year. How big of an improvement in distance should I expect from a “real” set of clubs over these? Is there any reason continuing to play with these is a bad thing as I keep getting more serious?

Overall my distance is….not great haha. Can I blame the clubs for any of that? 😬

Glad I’m not the only one!! Haha. This is great info to know. Thank you. ☺️

Was actually thinking this might be the route I end up going! Maybe get fit for a driver as soon as I can afford it and then maybe next year looking to upgrade my irons.
