Why isn’t Go used in AI/ML?

Post Body

Python is okay but every time I want to build something cool, it feels really slow. Whether it’s a web scraper or like right now I’m trying to bulk transcribe with OpenAI’s Whisper and it always feels like the longer a Python program runs, the slower it gets.

I’ve been sitting here for hours wondering why OpenAI didn’t make Go an option for Whisper.

There’s even a little debate about this in the Python community. It seems people feel building quickly is better than faster runtimes. Not sure if I agree.

Anyone else wish Go was used more for AI/ML?
