Hello Reddit, I’m going to ruin my anonymity on here I guess, but, I’ve very few options left. My name is Marty I am currently being treated for stage 3/4 esophageal cancer (Adenocarcinoma @ GI Junction) I get 5 radiation treatments and 2 forms of chemo each week. I was let go from my job because I was unable to work and it takes some time for Medicaid to be approved and money is very tight.
My go fund me is for my sons!
They will be here 6/18/22 just in time for Father’s Day and staying for just over 1 month. I live in a small place with 2 bedrooms and a roommate. I am raising this money so I can buy a blowup bed, rent a room with a pool and take my sons to explore things they’ve never seen (red rock deserts and coastal mountains) and to spend our last summer together making memories without worrying if we can afford it or not. This may seem selfish but as someone who watched his own father die slowly laying in a bed from cancer, I want my boys to see me out having fun with them and remember me that way. I have a surgery shortly after they leave to remove some stomach, esophagus, larynx and anything else they see while in there this will more than likely leave me unable to speak or eat again, but, may extend my life another year. Dr says I won’t be the same after.
PLEASE - help them and me enjoy talking and eating and traveling with each other one more time before it’s too late.
I am a highly capable concrete man and can offer any type of service or consulting on all things concrete. Thank you for reading our story.
