Hey everyone,
Today, I am asking for help for my best friend in the world.
Honey came into my life a little over 6 years ago. She was surrendered to a miniature pinscher rescue called the Minpinerie for a second time. The initially found her as a stray in Louisiana around a year of age. She was sent to the Minpinerie and adopted by a couple. However, the wife regularly abused Honey when the husband was away for work. She was surrendered after five years with thema and that is when I took her in.
For the last 6 years, she has been my rock and my best friend, being there through a lot of very difficult moments in my life. She is the reason I held on in the darkest of times, having helped me through a divorce, the death of a parent, a cross-country move (twice) and long-term illness.
Honey was diagnosed with lung cancer on January 5th. They are not currently aware if it is primary or secondary in nature. They do know she needs some testing to be done to determine what kind of cancer she has and whether or not it is present in any other systems. The total cost of this is 3500 $, a portion of which I can afford but I am asking for help for a part of it.
Honey is still acting like her normal self for the most part, though her cough (which she's had for at least 10 years) has worsened. I know my time with her is limited. She will be turning 13 in March. I am asking for help to make sure she has the the happiest, healthiest time for the remainder of her life.
If you can help, I would be forever grateful. I just want to be able to spend as much quality time with her as I can and keep treating her like the princess she is.
Thank you so much ahead of time.
