We live off grid and lost our sole water pump

Post Body

Our family lives completely off-grid, and we've lost our sole water pump to provide running water in the house. My best guess on examining the poor thing is that it ran dry after we had a pipe burst in a hard freeze (which has been handled, though it's a contributing factor to why we're tapped out financially) "up-stream" of the pump, and while it worked for a while after the break, it seems to have just given up the ghost since.

I'm looking to replace the pump itself and build out an enclosure to prevent this type of thing ever happening again (or at the very least making it several years before the next incident), but even an enclosure needs extra heating, and that takes more electrical power than we currently have available with our current setup. That's the second half of the GFM campaign, we've got additional generation capacity, but no way to get the wind turbine up into the air.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, even just sharing the link around will help.

And since it would help to have to the GFM in here...
