I'm at a point in my game where I'm adding sound effects. My thought is that I don't want the same sound to play everytime an action is done so for example I have 5 "player landing on ground" noises.
Is the best way to do this to load all 5 sounds separately then select a random one, or would it be better to have them all part of the same file and I just jump to a specific time and play for a specific time.
The latter seems more efficient but harder to code while the first seems easy to code but less efficient. Any thoughts on this?
