The animation industry is starting to realize that real-time rendering might just be the way to go. I already have a render engine but it's Keyshot for Zbrush. You can't really manage complex rigs with it.
I come from Maya, and rather than get into blender I chose to have a tailored pipeline of specific softs that I think are cool.
So I have Gimp, Mischief, Zbrush and Keyshot for Zbrush.
I want to use keyshot for stills or simple sculpts and still have an option if I want to rig and animate the sculpt.
I'm pretty set on Godot! NPR seems more to my liking than photorealistic as I'm more of a painter than a photographer, so why not get the most of both worlds?
So, I need to study how to import meshes, rig them, animate them, light the scene and export the video? Am I missing something?
