So, I like playing around in my 3D game, loading it up and just jumping around, thinking of ways I can improve it or add to it.
What would be really cool is if I could 3D model in realtime
Stage 1: Ideally, I could place/transform/rotate/scale simple primatives like cubes to block out an area in realtime dragging and dropping.
Stage 2: When an area is blocked out, I could place 3D vertexes simply by running around and placing them with a mouse, stitching them to eventually eclipse/replace the simple primative layout. or maybe based on my primative placement, there could be a programatic solution to make a smoothed single mesh skin of the zone.
Stage 3: I'd be able to further sculpt the now stitched vertex geometry, maybe bulging it, or digging into it. having the ability to place pools of water on convex geometry, etc.
Stage 4: Being able to go down to a vertex level, place individual vertexes and stitch them, or creating holes in existing meshes.
this way, I could 3D model an area or zone, whilst also being able to run around inside it instantaniously. I guess the hard part is, I'd also want to be able to save these areas so that they can be reloaded/further tweaked/exported
Is there any capability to achieve this within godot 4.2?
