first of all i would like to thank the Gnome team for doing all their work!
i have received the new update for nautilus ver 47 and i don't really understand the logic in the new side menu. basically all shortcuts to Documents, download, pictures have been removed by default. making way for a more basic set of options (home, recent, starred, desktop??,network, trash).
i figured out that you can add shortcuts to the bar, but you can't seem to put them at the same level as the default bar, which in the end seems to just make it look messy imo. An odd discrepancy for me is why desktop is a default non removable option? from what i recall, you can't really put directories directly on your desktop, so why bother putting things in a directory named Desktop, or even putting it in the side menu bar. also the Networks configuration tab being so high up, i don't think most people configure remote network server stuff that often? once it's configured, it's configured right?
i'm happy for anyone to chime in, maybe there is something i am missing????
maybe there is a config file to config it more to my liking that i do not know of?
I really do appreciate what huge work the Gnome team has put into developing this great DE.
