Drove an hour and 30 min to go look at a Gator FX cover that the model number online said it would fit. About a month ago I bought a Bak MX4 cover off FB and even thought I thought it would fit ,it didn't so I was stuck and had to sell it for a small loss.
Today trying to not make the same mistake. I said before I buy it I want to install it. I put on 4 brackets and the cover. It seemed to fit but once it got to the end it wouldn't latch, well only one side would latch.
I took everything off and added the 2 other brackets. The cover looked like it fit but again at the end it wouldn't latch. The weather stripping just barely covered the side rails.
In the end I said I would pass and took everything off. Another 90 min back. I feel like I could of tweaked it but when I asked what truck it came off of she says a ford f-150. My mind went to maybe the Sierra is just a hair smaller.
Brand new retail might be where I am now and having it installed. The other thing is I have a bed liner insert. I wonder if this has something to do with it pushing the rails in just a little.
Thank you listening,
