I have a USB A and C port. The phone needs to be plugged in in order for car play to work. Had a hour and a half drive today and it must have disconnected 147 times. Ok maybe not that much. I took the USB wire out and crimped the end, Ok I bit the end. I figured with the vibration of the truck it loosens and disconnects. It is definitely on the truck side. If I pull out the cord and reconnect It reconnects to apple car play.
Is this just the nature of the truck? Anything I can do? I have a USB A to C adapter. I'm going to try that to see if I can keep the connection while driving.
It's a 2020 SLT
