I found a 1200.00 Tonneau cover on facebook market place. One of those hard cover folding ones. Folds up and then fold up against the glass for maximum room. I'm 99% sure it will fit, Same bed size but he said it came off a 2500. I should of entered in the model number of the cover.
Anyway I have my wife pick it up as it was on the way home for her when she went to CT from Mass ( he loaded it). I was tempted to say I will buy It but I want to install it on the spot, but them I would have to drive there another day and he was giving me a song and dance about the timing and his days off. Anyway, I get it home and you guess it it doesn't fit. I enter the model number on the web site and get the "this does not fit your truck" FML!!.
I list it on FB, someone drives an hour and a half to pick it up from me. He has his tape measure and he 's measuring his truck and the cover. I asked a bunch of times does it fit, you want it. He had a Denali, I have a lonely SLE (not sure if it matters)
Same thing he gets home and the rails are to long. Now I'm wondering it my guy gave me the wrong rails somehow but wait the web page said it didn't fit my truck. Not sure why he would have different rails anyway. The guy asks for his money back and Of course I refuse. I said I listed the model number, Asked you a bunch of times, you measured it and I told you we had different trucks even though it didn't fit mine. So again am I an ass, did I do something wrong?
