My grandma was diagnosed with grade 4 may 2021 had resection did radiation and almost a year of chemo (counts struggled to come up so they had her stop early) all her scans have been great 3 months ago she started mentally and physically declining had to start using a walker had a few falls and would leave food out and forget to take her meds unless you handed them to her. Her mri was still clear and we were told it was just the long term effect of radiation on the brain. After her last fall she ended up in the hostpital because she was so week still no tumor. When Dr's asked her questions sometimes she would just stare and ignore them like she wasn't processing. After moving her to a different long term area in the hostpital (waiting for rehab to accept her) she perked up got better physically but now was having dementia symptoms such as false memories. Thinking my mom was her room mate (my mom left wheb I was 7) thinking another patient wad my aunt (who died 10 years ago) I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this with no tumor present? Does it stay like this? Get worse? Get better? The flip happened so fast one day we were at lunch and 2 days later she was so different.
