How long do you keep old pairs of glasses?

I'm moving to a new place in a week, so I've been busy sorting and packing all my stuff. Yesterday I pulled out two pairs of old prescription glasses and reluctantly decided to keep both as backup pairs even though I hate the styles (my prescription has not changed much over the years). It made me wonder how long other glasses-wearers hang on to their old pairs and what they do with them when it's time to get rid of them.
