Seeing better out of old Rx, is my new Rx wrong/lenses botched?
Post Body

I'm 36 and I've got severe astigmatism and have worn glasses basically my whole life, so I'm used to switching to a new Rx. I've had my new glasses for 2 months now and something has felt off the whole time. At first things did look clearer and I had the typical ground coming up at me feeling from a new pair, but now everything just feels slightly out of focus, but not enough to be an issue. Today I put my old pair on and everything looks crisp and clear. At my appointment, the Dr said my vision had worsened going off of my old Rx taken from the lenses. The frame size and lens are the same size, so I don't think it's a matter of going from small to large or vice versa. Maybe the new lens wasn't high index enough? Looking through the new and then looking through the old I can clearly see far away text crisper and more legible through the old. Is it ok to just go back to my old pair?
