Sunplatinum (SPM) Metal Frames.

Saw some vintage eye frames online that are made in Japan and they’re in such excellent if not mint condition. Was wondering what SPM (sunplatinum) and MPM (????) mean? Not enough info about them on the internet besides its a mixture of metals and claims to have corrosion resistance. Is it a good material for eye frames? Is it a buy it for life? Lastly do you guys know these japanese grands: masunaga, MONB, Koki Gentry, Charmant?
