Doing a wee personal project, I want to do drawings and write wee bios of notable people within the city.
When I say notable I mean the kind of people that would otherwise never get credit but definitely deserve it.
Been inspired to do this after seeing a video of the guy who rave dances on buchanan Street. In the video he spoke a bit about his life and why he dances, I found it quite touching that he was so open.
He lost his sister at a young age and fell into drugs, got out of the habit after a head injury and now dances to raise money for charities. On lookers often laugh at the fella but he seems to have a really good heart.
Is there anyone else you can think of, dead or alive, who's made Glasgow what it is?
Edit: this is turning into a, who's famous FROM Glasgow Post. I'm not keen on famous Glasgweagians, more so people who have made contributions to the city. They don't necessarily have to be from here.
Can you think of a local person who has became a staple to the community?
If they left Glasgow and got famous, that's cool, but I want to know about the people who made/ make this special place so unique.
I've had so much class responses so far though, but aye, can see where it's heading.
