One day until shipping and gift not ship

My gifter messaged me when our exchange first started asked me some preferences. Shipping deadline is tomorrow and it says gift still not ship. Is this normal or will I likely be rematched?

I participated in 3 and sent out right away I know people can be extremely busy and I definitely don't want to reach out to seem like I've bugged them..

If gift isn't sent out. How long does it take for rematching? And when rematched does that mean I have to send another gift?

I apologize for the questions if sound stupid.
