I’m in the US and I’m an on the job learner and that’s the best way I pick up skills. I have a degree in geology and took a lot of GIS classes in college. It’s been 3 years and I forgot a lot of it but I know once I start working a lot of it will come back to me. I’ve been applying to every entry level job and nothing. Do I really need to get certified to get a job that pays 15 an hour? I understand for a higher paying position I would need more experience and a certification but entry level? Is this just common for the industry?
