I am working on a project and I have a theory for the concept but I just need to find out how hard it is to geo fence a parcel slightly smaller than it shows on the assessors map. Does anyone in this sub have experience with this type of thing?
I am not trying to change any property parcel, I'm just trying to see if it would work to have the gps system see the parcel as smaller so that if someone brought an object into the street, it could show outside of the parcel.
Example: a house at the end of a 1 mile long dead end is the only customer. The driver would like to know if the milk crate is out in the bin for pickup or still in the house before driving down the lane for 1 house. The idea is to know if the milk crate is outside of a set perimeter or not. This would avoid a driver going down a really long lane for 1 stop, when they could just bypass it if the item is not out for pick up.
Edited for clarity.
