An internship I applied for back in January but was denied at the time because of experience called me today and asked if I was still interested. I was taking a nap and had seen the area code of my college town on the number and was assuming it was my school. I read the voice message and found it was the lady who interviewed me earlier this year. She told me if I was able to work around 20 hours a week and gain some experience and all I can say is that I am very happy.
More context: I am a Junior in college and I commute (itβs an hour commute). This place is a Water Utility for the entire city (of my college) and I am extremely thankful and surprised this happened especially during COVID.
All I can say is that if you wait sometimes things will appear when you least expect. I just hope I can learn more GIS and in a few years be able to live on my own.
