Currently studying for my undergrad in GIS at EMU in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I have taken one GIS intro class and passed with a B and am currently in another one and a topographic maps class. I talked with the hiring person and she said that she will be calling me to set up an interview date. It is 24 hours a week with 12 an hour pay for the summer.
I am still kinda new to GIS in ways. Shape-files and how to import them confuse me as well as some other things but I feel confident about this interview and hope it helps my career in GIS.
It is a goal to have a GIS Technician job out of college and then work my way up to a GIS Analyst!
