Hear me out:
If you think about it, it's almost like the writer said "Let me make an epic show -- SATC is a good storyline and works, I'll just reverse engineer and make the exact opposite of the show. The first premise is: everyone needs to be unlikeable and uninspiring, vs fabulous and something to strive to be.
Here's my take on each characters reverse engineered lesser half.
Hannah - Reverse Carrie Bradshaw - Unattractive and anti-fabulous. Feminist vs It girl.
Jessa - Reverse Samantha - Still sexual and mostly charming, but without the class or wisdom.
Marnie - Reverse Miranda - Confusing and misguided similar to Miranda -- stirs her own pot vs others, and more feminine
Shoshanna - Reverse Charlotte - More outspoken and opinionated than Charlotte, but men still find her adorable.
Adam - Big -- Instead of rich, charming and dashing, he's a Brokey with a big personality, who's instead of being mysterious, very open, and perhaps likeable?
What do you think?
