So Marnie is the girl who ādid everything rightā and things still fall apart for her, which on my 3rd rewatch at nearly 30 feels especially real/sad this time around.
But I also kinda donāt get it? Iām at the end of season 3. It seems like she gets fired/laid off from her gallery job and then she just kindaā¦.gives up? Not only on the art world but her project of becoming her version of success/adultā¦.Like the next job we see her in is the hostessing jobā¦.. We donāt ever see her try to get back in the art world or any other job she would see as ārespectableā
