New PC - Set RAM Speed?
Post Body

Hey everyone,

Got my new PC in and noticed in Windows that the memory speed was at 2100mhz. So I went into the BIOS and turned XMP profile1 on, this set things to 3600, but then I couldn’t get past windows login.

So I manually set the ram to 1.35, this was worse, didn’t even make it to login.

So I tried 1.3v and everything seems to be running fine now.

Will this damage anything? I’ve read several things that say set to 1.35v

RAM: 32gb 3600 G.Skill trident z CPU: AMD 5900 MB: Aorous Master - BIOS date: 10/2020

Any help is appreciated.
