No output after booting from sleep
Post Body

UPDATE

I've since resolved this issue.

DVI-D was giving a signal and was able to enter bios.

Boot order had been changed but maybe due to clearing the cmos, although was originally told no boot media detected without seeing the bios bootup screen.

According to reliability history, this all started after a Windows update, even though I didn't choose to shutdown/reboot the system into one.

Hopefully this will be useful to others!

Hi all,

Having an issue getting display output for unknown reason. Troubleshooting steps below, please help!

PC specs:

Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE Ryzen 3600 16gb 2400mz ram Rx5600xt sapphire pulse Win 10

Only setting changed in bios was xmp when system was new.

Got back home after walking the dog, woke pc from sleep but had no display output over display port.

Powered down monitor, left for a few minutes, reconnected cable. Still no output. Tried other dp cable, no change.

Noticed that gpu rbg logo flashes off and on slowly. Fans stop few seconds after boot up. Other fans OK in system.

Moved gpu to pcie 3 slot, no change. Flipping bios switch on gpu also makes no change.

Tried with old but working 1060. No change. Fans also stop after few seconds.

Unplugged hard drive and two ssds; this time rx5600 stays illuminated and fans do not stop. Still no output.

(Have NVMe still connected but contains only game files)

Reset cmos via pins on motherboard, still no output.

At this point I'm at a loss. All I did was put the pc into sleep and now nothing.

Ideas welcome, thanks!
