Can't get New Graphics Card to work on First PC Build
Post Body

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this but I am having problems. I just built my first pc. Everything is fine except my monitor won't detect the graphics card I put in. It will work with the onboard graphics. In fact, typing on it now. My build is the z270x gaming 7 motherboard,i7-7700k chip,MSI GamingX GTX 1080 ti. Like I said the card is running, lights up etc but when I connect it by HDMI or Display Port with my Dell Gaming monitor nothing gets displayed. In bios, which is F4,the initial display output I have it set to PCI-E 1(which is where the card is slotted into,Internal graphics is set to auto now because if I disable it I get the blank screen. All of my connectors are connected properly to psu,I've cleared cmos and still nothing. I tried doing this with my 980 ti I am selling and it's doing the same thing so I know it's not a bad card. Am I missing something? This is the only thing that needs to be installed. Everything on my first pc build works flawlessly. I want to start gaming on this! I'm pulling my hair out for hours on this! Thank you for all your input and help.
