Like the title says I have an amazing R6 that just rings perfect and is my favorite guitar I own.
A few years ago I picked up a 2022 Les Paul Special in TV Yellow. My thought was it too being a p90 LP it would blow me away.

The problem is it dont. It dont have nearly the amazing tone that my R6 has.

I know the R6 has bumble caps and high end wiring. Do you think if I upgraded the electronics on the Special it would make a difference? I dont know even if they are different p90s, I understand humbuckers better :)

Im curious if anyone has had something simular happen to them and if you figured out how to make the LP Special sing.
