I posted about my new LP 60's standard unburst a few weeks ago. But thought I'd upload some better pics. I'm a huge jimmy page fan and wanted a LP like his for 15 years. Looking over some of the specs from JP No1 reissues the 60's standard comes darn close to some of the past re-releases. Just a shame they don't do the 60's standard in a heritage cherry with red back.
This one just looks the part in my eyes. Always found it difficult to find a standard with a slim neck, red back, in a nice burst that felt right and sounded good and wasnt a custom or reissue at a silly price. This one weights 9.4lb/4.3kg. Looking at pages les paul no 1 I like the fact the grain of the wood in mine runs in a similar way under the knobs to his. When it needs re-stringing I'm going to try top wrapping see what that's like. Also tempted to swap out the bridge with a T-Top for full Zepplin sound but I'm finding these burstbuckers sound amazing. Pics look very true to the coloring I have.
