I love this game, and put in a ton of time in last year, but ultimately finished the story and platinumed before the NG update came out. That being said, no better time than with the Directors Cut and DLC coming to pick it back up!

Since then I have picked up a PS5, and I have already preordered the disc GoT Director’s cut for PS5.

My question is relatively simple - I know I can import my PS4 save through PS , but will that save register with the the “new” disc (GoT Directors Cut for PS5)? Putting it a different way, since they are “different” disc games, can I carry my “old” PS4 game disc progress over to the “new” PS5 directors cut disc?

Or perhaps should I consider using my PS4 disc on PS5, downloading the PS5 patch, then upgrading to the directors cut and DLC?

I’m old so I like to have the discs, if that helps anyone help me hahaha!

Worse comes to worse, I’ll just play it all over again on PS5!
