Theoretically, if a ghoster came back, what should you even do?

Any time a ghoster came back, usually im still pissed off at them or at best neutral. Then they get all "caring". But it doesnt last long anyway. So knowing they are just gonna do this performative "caring" act for themselves, sometimes also talking about "really missing me", after weeks/months/years, what is the best play?
