I think they went on dating apps afterwards and after 3 weeks or more (longest was a year or something), they suddenly realise everyone they met after me SUCKED and couldnt find anyone and thats the only reason why they are even going out of their way to send a text after that long!

I dont think it totally qualifies for missing me purely for me. When they breakup with me, they obviously think "yup im gonna find a better fit".

And then it dawns on these people "oh shit, maybe she wasnt bad, all she wanted was to have the light and tv off while she sleeps or get a goodmorning text"

And they send the "how are you" kinda text as if they cared much how i was doing bavk when they broke up by ignoring what i was saying.
