I love gfycat and would love to be able to more easily use it across the web. One thing that would make it a lot easier is if gfycat supported oEmbed. This has been suggested previously but as far as I can tell hasn't been implemented yet.
The biggest advantage of adding support for this is that a remote site can programmatically ask gfycat for the embed HTML for a gfycat URL and gfycat can return a perfectly sized iframe tag for use on the site. It also means that if you update the suggested iframe HTML, sites will immediately begin using it.
