Do you measure after pumping or hanging? Or measure on day off?

I started at 4.5-4.7 inch bpel, not worried about girth (normal is 5.5). Just measured 5.5 bpel.
Started the PE journey about 1 year ago, using Bathmate and now using compression hanger (8.8lbs) for the last 3 months.
So I took the time to measure after hanging today. Which got to 5.5” (my goal) but planning to take a day off and measure after.
Just seeing what others are doing?
