Don’t know if I’m making any gains

I started pex back in January, at the same time I started dieting & exercising. I began at 5 in in length & 230 lbs in weight, Idk what my girth was. It’s now may & im at 5.5 in & about 200lbs. It seems I’ve gained a half in but idk if that’s from stretching or weight loss. Am I wasting my time stretching?
