Can’t get through my reps

I’m sorry if you guys get a lot of newbie questions. I discovered this community last week and it’s honestly my favourite now.

It’s meant to be day one for me today but I can’t finish my reps because I become fully erect. Is this a common issue? If so, any tips on reducing the erection to a more flaccid and flexible state? Thanks in advance!
