Potential subreddit search improvements
Post Body

The biggest issue with Narwhal’s subreddit search imo is that it often doesn’t actually help you find what you’re looking for, as a function of the way it searches For example, I was trying to find this subreddit for Narwhal app, so I put in “narwhal”, but wasn’t be able to find r/getnarwhal. It will only look for subs that begin with whatever you put in, so I had to google what the narwhal app sub was called to find it

I’m a former Apollo user, and the search subreddit function worked differently there. Putting in “narwhal”, would show both subs that started with “narwhal”, as well as something like r/getnarwhal

Including the subscriber count next to the subreddit name in the search is also very helpful when you’re looking for a sub on a certain topic. There are lots of duplicate or outdated subs on Reddit, so subscriber count is an easy way to know how which community is most active

I’m not just here to say I want Narwhal to be Apollo, but this is one aspect I feel there are certainly improvements that can be made

Side note, isn’t “enter a subreddit” redundant when you have “search subreddits”?
