Lately I've noticed that I have tons of things I want to do, and feel super motivated to do them, except for when I start actually doing them.
Whether that be watch a new TV show, exercise, study, play a video game, read a book, learning Python, etc. I'll be super motivated to do the thing, but then as soon as I sit down and start doing it I'll just feel totally dissatisfied and my motivation is gone.
It's frustrating to wake up in the morning with motivation to do tons of stuff, but then somehow not enjoy it when I start doing it.
Many of these things are hard to do, yes, but even things I used to enjoy like video games or TV shows somehow haven't been giving me any excitement or satisfaction lately.
In general, since the pandemic began I've lost a lot of willpower and ability to enjoy doing hard things, even if I like doing them.
Any ideas what is going on here and how to build back my enjoyment of things/how to maintain motivation?
