For a while it seemed like my life was at a hard stop, a hard standstill. I didn't know how to move it. That's the thing about depression, it makes you feel tired, sucked the life out of you, and makes everything feel like torture.
I had the feeling that even showers would take the life out of me, make me tired, feel worthless. I ate junk food around the clock, never moved from the couch, and social media was my only friend.
I was on this neverending cycle for a year and a half before I finally decided to do something about it.
I started with the slow approach, changing one thing at a time. Most say that doing things slowly is a waste of time and that going cold turkey is the best option.
When they relapse, let them know that your small goals have begun to build and form something great.
