[NeedAdvice] Compromise smaller goals for a "greater" goal?

Post Body

Upon reading this post I really did some introspective thinking.

I currently go to the gym 3-5 days a week and work out for about an hour. Because I want to lose fat and gain muscle, I'm eating better and getting 8 hours of rest. This means putting off homework due one night and doing it before class, studying less for exams, and staying off of caffeine.

I looked at my grades for the first time this semester and I'm sad to say that I'm not exactly where I want to be. I have an A, 2 C's and a D and I know that if I go back to my old habits I can easily get all A's, but the problem is those habits aren't that healthy.

In high school, to do well in class, I would get home from class, nap, have a cup of coffee and lock my self up to finish assignments. Once I finish an assignment, I play a league of legends match then start on the next assignment. Studying for exams, I would repeat, drill, and quiz myself for hours until I get the material down, then repeat it the next following days.

The problem with this is that I really don't socialize with anybody because when I study in groups I tend to not study, or my studying becomes inefficient. Also, the constant caffeine might lead me to addiction and the lack of constant sleep might hurt the gainz. BUT my education is number one, so is it a good idea to compromise physical perfection in order to be where I need to academically?
