How can I differentiate what I truly want in life and what I only believe to want in life?

Post Body

On the one hand, I feel like I should do X, Y and Z in life because if I don't do it, I will be wasting my potential and could regret it.

But on the other hand X, Y and Z are not really interesting for me. If I suddenly would be on a lonely island, I wouldn't regret not having done X, Y and Z.

Because of this, I am in a kind of "analysis paralysis" and don't know what to do exactly with my life.

So how can I know what I truly want in life?
