I am starting at LMU in April and am running into the obvious issue of finding accommodation in Munich. From what I have been able to ascertain, it is incredibly difficult to get a place, so I should be starting my search as soon as possible. However, I also cannot reasonably expect to find a place until I am physically in Munich and am able to visit apartments. The obvious answer is to move early and search for places while living in an Airbnb or hotel. But I have been told back in October in a previous thread that it was already too late to find a place.

That being said, is there really nothing I can do until I am there? It seems as if I have really no other choice but to wait, however doing nothing makes the situation worse for myself.
