Post Body

I read somewhere that signatures in Germany must have last name in order for it to be legally valid. It can be full name or first name initials and last name in full form. However, signing with only first name is not legally valid. I can't find this source now.

The problem is that I always sign with only my first name. Nobody told me it's a problem. Today, I was at the bank to open a new account and they told me use whatever signature I am used to and I can remember. They said there is no such law that this signature won't be valid.

What's the truth?
