3 weeks in Karlsruhe, where to go for the weekends?
Post Body

Hello, all.

I'll be on Karlsruhe for 3 weeks on September for corporate training. Since I've never been to Europe, I want to take advantage of the 2 available weekends to see some places. I'll have a rental car available but would be willing to take the train if that can get me to more interesting places. I'm limiting the travel time to 3.5 hours as I'll be alone there. This puts the following cities on the possibly reacheable

Everything north or Karlsruhe all the way to Dusseldorf Everything south east of Karlsruhe all the way to Munich

Any particular interesting ideas on these regions? I'm 30yo and into a bit of nightlife, but also enjoy everything history related, and outdoors, it would be nice going somewhere where people are English friendly too, since I don't speak German. This will be on one weekend, for the other I'm planning on going somewhere in France sรณ I didn't want to bring it up on this sub.

Thank you all. :)
