My dad (78-years old) has some issues with his teeth, part prothesis and whatever else is going on in his mouth. He lives of a small 'rente' and has visited the dentist.
The dentists apparently proposed two ways of treatment. One standard one at a total cost of 3766,80 euro (which apparently is covered for 60%) and one which she recommended at a total cost of 6056,51 euro, which still gets the deduction of the original 60% but is way more expensive.
It is so much more expensive, and we are talking about so much money, that I am doubting myself if this can be correct and if this is how it works.
My dad mentioned that she said, that the standard solution will not keep up for long, which she strongly recommends the more expensive one.
From the document my dad sent me, I have no idea what she even wants to do, if that seems fine, if the cost are fine. I feel like I have no idea at what I am looking.
Are there any dentists here in Germany, or people who have experience, who can take a look at this and share some thoughts or feedback? Does the amount seem realistic?
