Question about the dialect of German that was spoken in the former German Democratic Republic
Post Body

For context, the Soviets in 1956 standardized all languages spoken in the Soviet union as well as the Soviet bloc. In North Korea, the Soviets placed Russian loan words into their dialect to further isolate North Korea from South Korea. Did the Soviets also do this with the German DDR? If yes, do many people still use loan words from Russian?
